Dorina Lanza
January 01, 1954 ~ October 03, 2026
Dorina Lanza, beloved mother, grandmother, educator, advisor, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2026, in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, after a long and courageous battle with illness.
Dorina was a woman of extraordinary intelligence, fierce independence, deep curiosity, and unmistakable presence. She questioned convention, challenged assumptions, and spent her life exploring ideas, people, systems, business, and what makes a life meaningful.
Born January 1, 1954 in Italy, she was deeply connected to her heritage in the Trieste region. Dorina developed an early love of mathematics and began teaching at the university level at just 19 years old. Over the years, she taught and influenced thousands of students, earned advanced degrees, built businesses, worked in finance, advised entrepreneurs and executives, and remained a lifelong student of human behavior and transformation.
But no list of accomplishments could fully capture Dorina.
She was brilliant, funny, irreverent, stubborn, generous, loving, and utterly herself. She had little patience for bureaucracy or empty authority and was known for saying exactly what she thought, often with colorful language and perfect timing. She pushed those around her to think harder, aim higher, and never underestimate themselves.
Her greatest love was her family. She was the devoted mother of Alexandra (Critch) Roundy and the proud grandmother of Asher Roundy, whose arrival brought her enormous joy. Her bond with Alexandra was profound, built over a lifetime of conversation, challenge, loyalty, shared history, and love.
Dorina faced serious illness with remarkable endurance and determination. Even through difficult final years, she remained engaged with life — still thinking, questioning, caring, and imagining what might yet be possible.
She did not live quietly or conventionally. She lived courageously, intensely, and on her own terms.
Dorina will be remembered for her strength, sharp mind, humor, generosity, and unforgettable force of personality. She will be profoundly missed, deeply loved, and forever remembered.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Humane Society for Greater Nashua (www.hsfn.org). A memorial will be held at a later date, with details to be shared.
