Nancy E. Linn

Nancy E. Linn, age 85, of Jupiter, FL, passed away on February 25, 2022, after a brief illness.  Nancy was born in New Jersey to Samuel and Anna Lougheed. Nancy grew up in the Mountain View area of Wayne, NJ. She is predeceased by three brothers, two sisters, and two sons-in-law.

Nancy, her late ex-husband, and their five daughters moved to Jupiter, Florida, in 1970. Nancy and her husband divorced in 1974, and she raised their five daughters entirely on her own. Nancy was a gifted seamstress and worked in the custom drapery business until she retired in 2009. She would always say her greatest accomplishment was her five girls.

Nancy was also very proud to be Irish, and according to her, she wasn’t even “a quart low.” She always shared stories of visiting Ireland as a young girl with her father and kissing the Blarney Stone. She had a wonderful sense of humor, was always ready with a joke, and had the gift of gab. Even while she was being treated in the Emergency Room at Jupiter Medical Center, the nurses and doctors had to tell her to stop talking so they could treat her.  And, of course, she was telling them all about her five girls and their children.

Nancy never knew a stranger and welcomed everyone she met. Her friends and family adored her fun-loving spirit and her zest for life. She will be greatly missed by all that know her, especially her family.

Nancy is survived by her five daughters, Nancybeth Arnold (John); Sharon Nicholas; Joanne Linn; Carol Linn-Culp (John); and Lauren Linn. She also leaves behind six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A service will be held at a later date.  Nancy was so proud to be Irish; therefore, we ask that everyone attending wear green. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in memory of Nancy to Trustbridge (formerly Hospice of Palm Beach County) 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, Florida 33407.
