Constance Dye Watson

Constance Dye Watson died peacefully on April 18, 2018 in Jupiter, Florida after a stroke. She was 93 years old. Born Marion Constance Dye on July 8, 1924 in Gloversville NY to her late parents, Mollie Drake Dye and Howard Alfred Dye, she was the youngest of six children. Connie graduated from Gloversville HS, attended St. Lawrence University, Canton NY and later graduated from Rosary Hill College in Buffalo NY. Connie raised her three children in Buffalo NY with her late ex-husband, William F. Caldwell, where, in addition to being a devoted wife and mother, she was a fun-loving friend, an avid golfer, skier, and lover of the arts and music. Later, she moved to Prescott AZ with her husband of 30 years, John P. Watson, where she enjoyed traveling, volunteering, stained glass making, tap dancing and living the good life with many friends. She is survived by her children, Susan Caldwell, Steven Caldwell and Sandra Caldwell (Nancy Newbold) and her stepchildren, Nicholas Watson (Pam) and John Watson (Sue). Connie’s also survived by 13 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren as well as many nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by her husband, John P. Watson, stepdaughter Elaine Finn, step-granddaughter Patricia Codick, nephew Peter VanEpps, great grandson, Josiah Drake Caldwell, and siblings John Dye (Ruth), Kenyon Dye, Dick Dye (Marguerite), Edith Parsons (Lester), and Eleanor VanEpps. Connie requested to not have a memorial service. She will be interned at Elmlawn Cemetery in Buffalo NY. Contributions in her memory may be made to Yavapai College, Prescott AZ or Kleinhans Music Hall, Buffalo NY.
