Henry Blakiston
July 25, 1945 ~ January 04, 2026
Henry Blakiston, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of his family and the many lives he touched throughout his remarkable life.
Henry was the devoted husband of Patricia and a proud father to his three children, Erika, Edward, and Joe. He was the cherished grandfather of seven grandchildren, each of whom brought him great joy and pride. Family was the center of Henry’s life, and his quiet strength, integrity, and steady presence will be deeply missed.
A retired Certified Public Accountant, Henry built a respected practice that grew steadily over more than 50 years. His commitment to excellence extended beyond his own work as he served his profession on the Peer Review Committee, auditing audits and upholding the highest standards of ethical practice.
Henry was deeply engaged in his community. He was a graduate of Leadership Palm Beach County, served as a Chamber Board member, was an officer of his homeowners association, a former member of the Board of Jonathan Dickinson State Park, and one of the founding members of what became the Renewal Coalition supporting wounded warriors. His dedication to service reflected his lifelong belief in giving back.
A proud veteran, Henry served his country as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, a role he carried with honor and humility.
Outside of work and service, Henry embraced life fully. He was a licensed pilot who loved flying, found great satisfaction working on his detailed train layout, and enjoyed time on the water boating. He also spent many years as a baseball umpire, beginning with JTAA and advancing to higher leagues, where he was known for fairness, professionalism, and love of the game.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Blakiston and Florence Myers Blakiston, and his sister, Justine Staples. He is survived by his wife, Patricia, his three children, seven grandchildren, and countless friends, colleagues, and business associates who were fortunate to know him.
A celebration of Henry’s life will be held on March 21, 2026.

Not to add on, but…Henry was the wind under Patti’s wings. He was a staunch supporter of Patti’s volunteer efforts with the Realtors and was ALWAYS there for her, any where anytime any place. He was quick witted. smart and the only one who understood me when I spoke onevof my many Dooleyisms!
RIP my friend.

Henry loved his family and enjoyed being a member of the spouse’s Club of Florida Realtor Officers, and among that group my wife, Jackie, and he became good friends and shared lots of each other’s family memories. Henry was a supporter of Pat as she spent significant time serving in Leadership positions with both Florida and National Realtors. He was a respected member both for his knowledge in the accounting world and as a family member of the Florida Realtor family.

My complete condolences for the loss of your love and your husband,
Even though I didn’t know him very well I certainly knew him and knew of him because of you,
And I know you have many friends and people in your life to help you get through this, but know that I am also here in your old neighborhood thinking about you and your husband
I love you and when things settle down a little bit, we should have a nice telephone call
I’m so glad you had as many years as you did with one special person. What a blessing.
And I am sure he’s in heaven, and Jesus has his arm around Henry
Love you,
Your friend forever, Mary☹️

My best memories of Henry were when members of the Florida Realtors attended National Association of Realtors Conventions throughout the United States. On Saturday during the meetings we visited the local Gator Clubs at their watch party to cheer our University of Florida Gators football team. Henry was always in the front row cheering the Gators to victory! Henry and Patti were a great couple who supported each other. Henry was always there watching Patti move through Leadership. I know he is still watching, and helping move her to her next goal. Patti I love you and miss you. You and the family are in my thoughts and prayers.
