Gloria Ann Conway

Gloria Ann Conway, age 93, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida passed away peacefully this Tuesday, April 21, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Streator, IL on September 30^th 1932, Gloria was the daughter of Ann and Jack Sloop, and was lovingly raised by her mother Ann and stepfather, Gilbert Marshall.

She lived a life defined by grace, elegance, and vitality.  She had an innate sense of style that transcended into her early career as a beautician and then luxury retail at Marshall Fields in Chicago.

Gloria was the picture of class, elegance, and had a true zest for life. She found deep joy in the beauty and serenity of the ocean. Gloria loved golf and tennis, embracing both with enthusiasm and style. She loved traveling to new places with her husband and fine dining with friends and family. She was an incredible cook who loved to host family holidays, creating infinite memories we will forever cherish.   Her warmth, sophistication, and spirited nature left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Gloria will be remembered for her infectious smile, brilliant blue eyes, radiant spirit, her love of life, and the grace she brought to every room she entered. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

Above all, Gloria loved her family deeply, and her special bond with her grandchildren was a source of great joy and mutual adoration.

She is survived by her devoted grandchildren, her grandson, Chadwick M. Spencer and his wife Irene; her granddaughter, Michelle L. Spencer, who will forever carry forward her love, strength, and example.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Leonard D. Conway; her cherished daughter, Linda L. Spencer; and her dear sister, Betty J. Trainor.

A service will be held on Saturday, April 25^th at 12:15pm at Riverside Memorial, 19351 SE County Line Rd, Tequesta, Fl. 33469.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Veterans of Foreign Wars. www.vfwfoundation.org
