Christine D. Cook

Christine D. Cook

February 06, 1944 ~ October 01, 2026

Christine D. Cook (nee Dingwall) was born in China and came to the United States following World War II with her British mother and US Marine father. The family settled in Connecticut where Chris graduated from Manchester High School before attending and graduating from Rivier College in New Hampshire. During her working career, in addition to other projects, Chris participated in the development of simulators used for disaster training at industrial and petrochemical facilities. In 1968, Chris married the love of her life, William Cook; her love for him continued after his premature passing in 2008.

Always athletic, Chris enjoyed golf and tennis, garnering the occasional club and tournament trophy along the way. She also developed a passion for dance, particularly tap, and was a longtime member of the dance troupe “The Coquettes”. For many years, Chris and her fellow hoofers performed to the delight of audiences throughout the area.

Chris had four brothers, two of whom (George and Duane) preceded her in death while she is survived by brothers Dwight and Doug. Chris is also survived by a whole slew of loving nieces, nephews and cousins, and of course by her boys, Buck and Max. She will be sorely missed by those who knew her.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or to St. Patrick Catholic Church, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
