Dorothy Harran

Dorothy (Dottie) Harran (99) of Jupiter, FL formerly of New Port Richey, FL and Queens, NY, passed away peacefully in the care of Hospice, with her family by her side on October 1, 2017. Dottie was one in a million, referred by many as the sweetest lady on the planet. Always a smile on her face and a kind word to every one she met. She loved the simple joy of being outdoors sharing good conversation with friends and family, enjoying nature’s beauty and soaking up the sun. In retirement, Dottie loved living in a social environment and happily participated in all activities. She lived a long, full and happy life. During the WWII, she worked as a Bell telephone operator. Dottie adored her family and although she was totally devoted to them, she still loved her job at Connecticut General Life Insurance Co, retiring after 20 years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, Dottie is survived by her son Harry C Harran (Donna), Son n law Joseph Jacovino, Grandchildren Melissa Harran, Joe Jacovino (Kathy), Jennifer Jacovino and Great Grandchildren, Joey Jacovino, Christopher Jacovino, Jessica Jacovino and Mathew Bagienski.
Dottie is pre-deceased by her loving husband, Harry S Harran, daughter Dorothy (Penny) Jacovino, her parents Conrad and Elisse Krenkel, and her four older siblings Jean Sharm, Elisse Hunt, Catherine Reichert, and Conrad Krenkel.

A celebration of life luncheon will be held in New York on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Mannino’s Italian Kitchen, 2158 Jericho Turnpike, Commack, NY 11725, 12:00 – 3:00 PM.
