Gerald F. Marshall

Gerald F. Marshall

July 05, 1947 ~ December 18, 2025

Gerald F. Marshall (Jerry), age 78, of Jupiter, Florida, and formerly of New Castle, Pennsylvania, entered heaven on December 18, 2025, following a short battle with brain cancer.

For 43 years, Jerry devoted his life to full-time ministry, serving homeless men, women, and children through rescue missions across the country. His faith was not simply something he believed—it was something he lived each day. Whether in churches or on the streets, Jerry met people with open hands and an open heart, offering dignity, compassion, hope, and the love of Jesus. He had a gift for seeing the value in every person he encountered, and through his quiet faithfulness, he touched countless lives.

Music was a deep joy in Jerry’s life. His singing and piano playing were heartfelt expressions of faith and happiness, often bringing encouragement and joy to those who listened.

Jerry had an easy, gentle way with people. Conversations with him were marked by kindness, thoughtful insight, and a wonderful sense of humor. Many found comfort and guidance in his words and in the grounded faith he carried and shared.

Above all, Jerry loved his family deeply. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished his wife and daughters and took great joy in all his family. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jan; his daughters, Kimberly Hurst and her husband Jeff of Mercer, Pennsylvania, and Kriss Marshall of Jupiter, Florida; his grandchildren, Lauren Moore and her husband Chad of West Middlesex, Pennsylvania, Megan Schwab and her husband Joshua of Mercer, Pennsylvania, Katie Pebbles and her husband Cody of Mercer, Pennsylvania, and twins Krissy Hurst and Jerry Hurst of Mercer, Pennsylvania; his great-grandchildren, Molly and Oliver Moore of West Middlesex, Pennsylvania; his brothers, Tom Marshall and his wife Shelly of Falls Church, Virginia, and Tim Marshall and his wife Yumi of Erie, Pennsylvania; and his sister Katie Marshall of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents, F. Dickson Marshall and Phyliss Marshall and his sister, Janet Covert.

A memorial celebration is planned for July 2026 in Leesburg, Pennsylvania. Additional details will be announced.
