Ima Jean Thomas, age 76, of Boynton Beach, Florida, formerly of Ann Arbor, Michigan passed away unexpectedly Friday June 21, 2019 at Bethesda East Hospital, Boynton Beach, FL. Jean was born in Fostoria, Ohio on July 17, 1942. She was the daughter of Richard and Anna (Conn) Keckler. Jean graduated from Fostoria High School, Fostoria, Ohio. She retired from Mundas&Mundas Insurance Co., Ann Arbor, Michigan. Jean was an amazing woman who was extremely devoted to her family. Jean loved to spend time with her children & grandchildren. She also enjoyed dancing, music ,especially watching her son TJ perform in his band, shopping, decorating her home, traveling around the state of Florida looking at light houses and traveling to MI/OH to see her family. Jean was loved deeply by her family, friends and her life companion Jeff Fisher. Her smile was as bright as the sunshine in Florida and she would leave a sparkle wherever she would go. Jean was preceded in death by her parents; Richard & Anna; husband Garth E. Thomas. She is survived by her sister Judy (William) Nonnemaker Bradner, OH. 3 sons ; Timmothy J (Joanie) Thomas, Toledo, OH.; Douglas J Thomas Pinckney, MI; Jeffrey T (Carol) Thomas Pinckney, MI and her daughter Jennifer (Roy) Johnson Platte City, MO. 7 granddaughters; Brianna Smith, Amanda Thomas, Carol Ann Thomas, Kendra Thomas, Cassidy (Thomas) Cornelius, Sarah (Johnson) Ritz, Katie (Johnson) Mount 5 grandsons; Jordan Thomas, Tim Thomas, Justin Thomas, Garth Thomas, Cordell Thomas. Several great grandchildren and her life companion Jeff Fisher. In lieu of flowers her family asks for those that knew and loved Jean to attend her Celebration of Life on September 14, 2019 from 2pm to 4pm at Stacy’s Place 625 Plaza Dr Fostoria, OH. 44830 Final resting place will be at Fountain Cemetary, Fostoria, Ohio next to her late husband Garth E. Thomas.

Mama I miss you sooo much! I miss our daily calls and texts I will miss our visits in Florida You were taken from me way too soon!!! I just wanted more time!!! I’m not sure how to go through life with out you.. you always guided me and were always there to pick me up You were the BEST Mama EVER!!!!!
