On November 26 th , 2020 Joseph John Maran, loving father, grandfather, and friend, passed away at the age of 61 in Jupiter, FL.
Joe was born on April 26 th , 1959 in West Palm Beach, FL. He was a world-renowned boat builder, and the original founder, designer, and creator of the Jupiter 31 and 27 boats, going on to create the Maran 21 flats boat. Joe touched so many people’s lives, anyone who knew him knew he was passionate about everything he did from being a fiberglass technician, a chef, photographer, and motorcycle rider. He always had the motivation to continue to learn; there was nothing Joe did that was mediocre and was a genius, creator, and innovator of many things. Joe had an incredible drive to be the best and put his best into everything, and he will leave an impact on so many lives.
Joseph Maran is preceded in death by his parents Joseph Maran and Rose Maran of Jupiter, FL. He is survived by his daughter April Maran Stumpf and husband Kevin Stumpf of Woodstock, GA; daughter Heather Rose Maran of Seattle, WA; and his grandchildren Hunter Stumpf and Ryker Stumpf of Woodstock, GA.

Joe, sorry to hear about your passing, I was part of the original team to build the first Jupiter boats,than you for being such a good teacher when it came to boat building…. And yes there are others from that same team who have since passed away….and thank you for your help share I was have some bad times back in the 80 s,,I still think about all of us from back then and I still often speak of it to people in the Jupiter and HobeSound Florida area, God bless, David Fuller Mulberry (Mudd)
