Kathleen “Kassie” (Reagan) Romano
March 14, 1968 ~ June 17, 2025
Kathleen “Kassie” (Reagan) Romano 57, passed away on June 17, 2025 in Stuart, Fl surrounded by family and loved ones after a hard fought battle with ALS.
She was born on March 14, 1968, Youngstown, Ohio, to Jack and Sally( Conroy) Reagan . Kassie was a 1986 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School. After high school she attended and graduated from cosmetology school in Boardman. After working a few years as a beautician, she met and married her husband of 34 years, Joseph Romano. Together they had two children, Gina Romano of Struthers, Ohio and Frank Romano of Hobe Sound, Florida. She resided for the last 28 years in Florida where she was a stay at home mother raising her two children. Kassie also leaves her siblings Chris (Tom) Cardarelli of Rochester, Michigan, Molly( Joe) Edgley of Jupiter, Florida, Michael (Judi) Reagan of Jensen Beach, John (Karen) Reagan of Youngstown, Ohio, and Ned (Patricia) Reagan of Stuart, Florida. She also leaves the following nieces and nephews who were dear to her heart; Sally (Cardarelli) Hermonson, Carla (Cardarelli) Glosser, Danielle Edgley, Sara Edgley, Mickey Reagan, Fiona Reagan, Lisa (Reagan) Wertz, Christina Reagan and Neddy Reagan.
She is predeceased by her parents Jack and Sally Reagan.
Kassie loved the beach and sitting in the sun. She was an avid walker up until the point she no longer could do so safely. She was incredibly positive up until the end and refused to give up her fight. For the last two years she was non verbal and relied on written words to communicate. She was fearless despite having a terminal illness. As she lost more and more ability to move parts of her body, she nonetheless would flex her left bicep and show everyone that she was not giving up and still fighting. In February of this year she transitioned to a nursing home to help address the level of care needed. She quickly became the staff’s favorite resident despite being unable to speak. Her eyes conveyed her gratefulness and a gentle caress showed those who assisted her the love and appreciation she had in her heart. Kassie loved all things music and was always listening to all genres of music from rock, to country to Neil Diamond, to Post Malone. It helped her convey the emotion that she could not express herself. She loved spending time with friends and family and cherished every moment.
A special thank you to the staff at Seabranch Health and Rehabilitation Stuart for their kindness in the care of Kassie during her stay. Also a special thank you to her sister Molly who prioritized Kassie for the last three years as her medical advocate and life coach. Kassie was truly blessed to have Molly in her life.

Kassie was my very first patient at Seabranch, and I remember when I told her that, her eyes lit up and she gave me the biggest smile. She was an amazing person and I am going to miss her dearly. She was always smiling and positive and left sunflowers in her path. She was such a pleasure to have as a patient and I always sought her out even when she was not on my schedule. My condolences to her family, who were there every step of the way through this difficult journey.
