Mary Brandjord Hammond

Mary Brandjord Hammond finished her life journey on earth. She entered her eternal home and was welcomed by her Savior on February 17, 2026.

Mary was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota where she enjoyed an idyllic childhood, often going off alone to fearlessly explore the world. She remembered lunch at Daytons with her mom where she was taught the proper way to shop! Mary came to West Palm Beach in 1972. She went to Conniston Middle School. She graduated from Forest Hill High School. Mary graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic in 1983. Mary married Don Hammond in July 1981, together they raised their family. Her happiest times were substitute teaching in Pre-K and kindergarten and walking home with her children. Also serving in Sunday School with Jimmy Harris at First Baptist Church WPB. Her besties in life were Sarah Keith and Darlene (Gentry) Calvert. They encouraged one another in life’s journey no matter the time or distance.

She was a beloved wife, mother, sister and friend. Above all she was a devout and redeemed follower of Christ.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband Donald of 44 years. Children Lindsey Wise (Barry), James and Lauren. Her sister Marsha (Watkins), brother Gregory (Anna) and brother Paul (Kris).

Mary’s favorite scriptures were:
Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me and Psalm 103 – Bless the Lord o my soul and all that is within me Bless His Holy Name.

As we will miss her laugh, her presence in our lives, we will hold her close to our hearts. May her name be eternal.
