Richard Arthur Anderson

Richard Arthur Anderson, age 100, passed away on July 31, 2025, in North Palm Beach, Florida. Born on July 30, 1925.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946 during World War II as a member of the 513th Paratrooper unit and saw action in Holland. His military service was a defining chapter early in life that reflected his commitment to duty and country. Following his honorable discharge, Richard pursued higher education in Hackensack, New Jersey, and later at the University of Miami. His academic pursuits laid the foundation for a long and accomplished career in finance at Florida Power & Light (FPL). Richard had a keen analytical mind and remained intellectually active.
He is survived by his spouse Inge Strauss, her son Christian, his son David Arden (Linda) and his grandsons Adam (Sarah) and Noah Fried-Gintis and his great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife Elisabeth and daughter Barbara Gintis.
Richard found spiritual connection through both Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Juno Beach and Temple Emanuel in Palm Beach.

A burial service will be held on March 12, 2026, at South Florida National Cemetery, located at 6501 FL-7, Lake Worth, Florida 33449. The service will begin at 2 pm.
