Rita Irene Cantrell Gorenflo

Rita Irene Cantrell Gorenflo, age 73, passed away on December 14, 2025, at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Stuart, Florida.

Rita was born June 1,1952 to the late Raymond and Phyllis Cantrell and raised in central Ohio. She attended nursing school in Columbus, Ohio, where she specialized in ER nursing. Rita lived in Florida 45 years.

She adopted seven special children which two preceded her in death; Thomas and Jonathan. Rita was also preceded in death by her husband, Les.

She is survived by her two sisters and one brother; Linda Sue Schreffler of Hobe Sound, Florida, Rebecca Ann Cox of Ivins, Utah, and David Eugene Cantrell of Hobe Sound, Florida. She is also survived by her children; Brian, Dondre, Nathaniel, Adrienne, and Megan.

She lived her life serving God and special needs children.

She will be greatly missed.

A service for Rita will take place on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 11:00am at The Grace Place Church, 1550 SE Salerno Rd, Stuart, FL 34994.
