Charles “Charlie” Sitra

Charles “Charlie” Sitra

June 15, 1938 ~ September 26, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charles “Charlie” Sitra, 86, of Hobe Sound, FL. Charlie left us on September 26, 2024. Charlie was a beloved husband, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was known for his sense of humor and passion for life. His even-keeled nature made him a calming presence in any situation, earning him the respect and admiration of all who knew him.

A true romantic, Charlie cherished his beautiful 51-year marriage to his wife, Violet, a partnership filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support for each other. He was a great cook and gardener. His culinary creations were always a highlight and he made holiday dinners that were unforgettable.

Charlie dedicated over 30 years to a successful career in information technology, where he was respected for his expertise, resolve and strong work-ethic. His colleagues admired his commitment to getting things done and his ability to build strong relationships with those he worked with.

Above all, Charlie was a man of integrity, always striving to do the right thing, whether in his professional life or personal relationships.

Charlie was a man of many passions. An avid fisherman, he found solace on the water, often sharing tales of his biggest catches with friends and family. He also loved the greens, frequently hitting the golf course where he relished both the challenge of the game and the camaraderie it brought.

Dance floors were another of Charlie’s happy places. He could light up any gathering with his moves, bringing joy to everyone around him. And let’s not forget his sweet tooth—Charlie enjoyed his favorite chocolate treats in the evening while watching the NY Yankees or taking in a TV show with Violet by his side.

Charlie’s absence will be deeply felt by his family and close-knit circle of friends who will miss his infectious laughter and generous spirit each and every day.

A celebration of Charlie’s life will be held on October 4th at 10am at Saint Christopher’s Church. Coffee will be served after mass in the Hospitality Room.

He may have left this world, but Charlie’s legacy of love, laughter, and fishing adventures will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Hi Violet, so sorry to learn of Charlie’s passing. Besides being my boss he was a real nice guy in and out side the company. I remember going out fishing on his friend’s boat ‘Prime Time’ and spending many evenings at Max’s Kansas City recuperating from all the craziness of working at Guardian. Again you have my condolences. Mike Vargas from the Help Desk.
