Jack Allen Fairbrother

Jack Allen Fairbrother

February 03, 1949 ~ October 19, 2024

Jack A. Fairbrother, 75 of Singer Island, FL, died unexpectedly on October 19, 2024. Born and raised in Chicago, IL, Jack always had aspirations of working with his hands. Jack honorably served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War as an airplane mechanic on the USS Enterprise. After completing his service in the military, Jack manufactured hand tools at Duro Metal Products and worked his way up to President and CEO. After retiring from being an entrepreneur, Jack moved to Florida with the love of his life, Gail. Jack had a sweet tooth, loved tinkering, fixing things, and building with his hands. He was a true patriot who always showed his love for his country by displaying his American Flag. Jack was passionate about volunteering with CCI and helping veteran causes. Jack was one for a friendly chat on his walks with his beloved dogs and always willing to help a friend or neighbor. Those left to keep his memory alive include his life partner of 41 years, Gail Bremner, his children Michael Fairbrother, Lori Fairbrother (Wilhelmina), William Fairbrother, Elizabeth (Michael) Decker, beloved grandchildren, Kee Gales, Madison Fairbrother, Michael Fairbrother Jr., Makenzie Fairbrother, Cayden Fairbrother, Lucy Decker, Belle Decker, niece Dorthea Gies and countless friends and neighbors. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Virginia (Schroeder) Fairbrother, sister Judy (Charles) Gies, and son Aaron Fairbrother. A private family internment will be held at a later date.

I’m glad I had the opportunity to meet Jack several times. I will remember his humor, his garden-scale trains, and the overall Ditka-vibe he gave off. I’m sad for his loss and send my condolences to his family.
