August 05, 1961 ~ October 28, 2024

Terrence Michael Fanning, age 63, passed away on October 28, 2024, in Delray Beach, Florida. Born on August 5, 1961, in the Bronx, New York, Terrence was a man of high intellect and a passionate advocate for Irish theatre and veterans’ affairs, reflecting his deep pride in his Irish heritage. Having served honorably in the Army, Terrence dedicated himself to supporting his fellow veterans throughout his life. His intellect was profound and boundless; a gifted writer, Terrence illuminated the lives of those around him with his wisdom, depth of insight, and passion for knowledge.

His greatest joy, however, was his family, whom he loved dearly. Terrence is survived by his cherished daughter, Nicole Yogurtcu, his son-in-law, Ben Yogurtcu, and his grandson, Roman Yogurtcu. He is also remembered by his mother, Joan Fanning, his sister Colleen (Thomas) DeShazo, and his brothers, Thomas (Beth Ann) Fanning and John Joseph Fanning Jr., as well as a loving circle of Nieces, Nephews, Great-Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends.  Terrence now joins his father, John Joseph Fanning, who preceded him in death and with whom he will be laid to rest in the Florida National Cemetery.

His legacy will endure in the hearts of his family and friends, and his spirit will forever guide those he touched with his compassion, intellect, and love. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his memory continue to inspire all who have shared in his journey.
