Claire Van Giezen

Claire Van Giezen, age 102, passed away at Trustbridge Hospice on February 14, 2024, in West Palm Beach, FL. Claire was born on September 19, 1921, in Newark, NJ, the youngest daughter of the late Nicholas and Barbara (Platt) Feuerbacher. She was a resident of Randolph, NJ, from 1957 until her move to West Palm Beach in 2007. Before marriage, Claire worked for New Jersey Bell Telephone. Later, she worked 15 years for Roxbury State Bank before retiring. Claire was devoted to her family, raising 4 boys after her husband died in 1970. In addition to her parents, Claire was predeceased by her husband, Frank; her siblings, Charles, Ann, Edna, Harold, Nicholas, and Catherine; and her daughter-in-law, Georgia. She is survived by her sons,  Robert Van Giezen (Karen), William Van Giezen (Carolyn), Gary Van Giezen, and Scott Van Giezen
(Melissa); and her grandchildren, Matthew Van Giezen (Stephanie), Greg Van Giezen, and Sarah Van Giezen. She is also survived by Russ Roy (Steve), who she treated as a son. At a later date, interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ. Her family wishes to thank Joyce Bolden of Visiting Angels for her many years of service caring for Claire.
The family asks that all donations be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.
