Elizabeth O’Hara

Elizabeth O’Hara

July 06, 1961 ~ January 28, 2022

Elizabeth O’Hara, aged 60 of North Palm Beach Florida and formerly of Manchester, England sadly passed away on Friday 28th January 2022 after a courageous 18 month battle with cancer. She was born in Manchester in 1961, the 4th child of John and Nellie O’Hara. She has lived in many places including Canada, Bahamas and finally settling in Florida. Liz was an amazing person, loyal, generous, kind and full of fun. She lived life to the full, loved entertaining and dining out, visiting new places and learning new things. She worked hard and enjoyed a great social life. She especially loved her dog Scallywag to pieces. She will be leaving a huge hole in all of our lives but will never be forgotten.

She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, godmother and a great friend to many. Liz is survived by her sister Marie and her husband Ron, brother Michael and his wife Lynn, nieces Rebecca, Melissa and Frances and great nephews and niece, Lewis, Libby, Luke, James and Henry.

Liz will be cremated in Florida and will return to England to be buried in the O’Hara family plot.

Adam & I were so terribly sad to hear that you had grown your wings.
You will always hold a special place in our hearts you were a very special friend, a glamorous chauffeur to our wedding. You welcomed us into your home when we revisited the Bahamas & Florida.
You were always the life and soul of the party you loved your family and friends not forgetting your special furry family, I am sure that Scallywag will be loved and cared for by one of your very special friends in Florida.
You were so hard working preparing for a nice retirement we were really looking forward to you visiting us in Cyprus when you relocated to the UK,but after a very brave courageous fight with cancer you were taken far to soon, you are now reunited with your lovely mam, dad & sister Bunny RIP Liz fly high you beautiful Angel,we have so many wonderful memories of time spent with you that we will both treasure forever x

So sorry to have read this morning of Liz’s passing. We met in the Bahamas when we both worked at Paradise Island Casino and became friends; I have so many lovely memories of her. She was always full of life and quick to laugh. She taught me how to make a Christmas cake and invited me to be one of the ‘famous’ Calf Girls (for those that have seen the photo). A kind, thoughtful, brave and courageous person who enriched my life and many others. Sincerest condolences Claudia x
