Jack Kent Hilty

Jack Kent Hilty

October 14, 1950 ~ September 30, 2021

Jack Kent Hilty, 70, of Lantana FL, formerly of Apollo, PA went to his eternal home unexpectedly Sept 30, 2021.  He was a devoted son, father, brother, and a friend to everyone he met.

Jack was born Oct 14, 1950, to the late Curtis and Myra Jane Hilty.  A graduate of Kiski Area High School, class of 1968, he then earned a diploma from Pittsburgh Aeronautics Institute.   He moved to West Palm Beach, FL in 1971. While there, he met his wife Pamela, mother of their children.  Jack returned to his hometown in PA with his family in 1978.  He started Hilty’s Carpet Cleaning and received certification as a master carpet cleaner.   In 1997 he and his wife divorced but reestablished a friendship a few years ago.  After 35 years of owning and operating his own businesses he retired to Lantana, FL.  Golfing, playing guitar, a good game of rummy were pastimes he enjoyed, and he loved walking on the beach .  Always with a joke to share or a story to tell, you couldn’t spend time around Jack without sharing a laugh.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother James C. Hilty.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Jeanette Hilty of Maryland,  Amanda Hilty & wife Loraine of North Carolina, and former wife,  Pamela Hayhurst.  Jack was a kindhearted, hardworking, self-made individual.  He was always willing to help anyone in need.  Jack will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

The family would like to extend gratitude for the compassionate and loving care by the staff at JFK Medical Center of Atlantis, FL and the VITAS Hospice of West Palm Beach, FL.  A private service will be held at a future date.
