James Bruce Carr
December 11, 1953 ~ April 05, 2025

James Bruce Carr (Jim), 71, of Jupiter, FL passed away on April 5th, 2025 with his wife and children by his side. Jim was born in St. Louis, MO on December 11, 1953 to Ernest James Carr, Jr. and Betty Stake Carr.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Terri Hardman Carr, son Robert James Carr (Shannin) and 13 year old grandson Reznor James Carr of Los Angeles, CA, daughter Deborah Marie Carr Woodson (Donald) of Palm City, FL, sister Julie Shorrosh (David) of Tulsa, OK and several nieces and nephews.
More than anything, Jim loved his family. Jim was an awesome Dad.
Jim was a lifelong learner. He received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Florida Atlantic University in 1974. He also received a Master’s degree in Strategic Leadership from Palm Beach Atlantic University as well as a Doctorate of Strategic Leadership from Regent University in 2015.
Jim had a heart for the local church.
He served faithfully at Northwood Baptist, Village Baptist and Family Church Village. Jim was a renowned Bible teacher.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Family Church Village (3600 Village Blvd, WPB, FL 33407) on May 3rd, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. All friends, colleagues and family are welcome and encouraged to wear a festive shirt in honor of Jim’s humor and love of life. A reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Multiple Myeloma Foundation (themmrf.org) or Family Church Village in his honor.

Debbie and family,
Sorry to hear about Jim’s passing. Even though you know he is in a better place, he leaves a big hole here. As many years ago as we were members of Northwood Baptist and sharing all those times of raising young children, that is but a drop in the bucket to eternity. Great thing is, we know you know that.
