Janice Ann Henry
July 09, 1940 ~ April 12, 2025

Janice Ann Henry, 84, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2025, at her home in Jupiter, Florida. She was born on July 9, 1940, in Tarrytown, New York, and was a 1958 Sleepy Hollow High School graduate. Janice lived a life of creativity, kindness, and deep spiritual devotion.
Janice’s most fulfilling role was as a loving and supportive mother to her four children. While raising her children in Mt.Kisco and Bedford, NY, she instilled in them the belief that they could achieve anything they set out to do. In 1983, she relocated to Florida, where she pursued her education at Daytona State College, earning an Associate’s Degree with honors. Her curiosity and love for learning were evident throughout her life. She continued her education at Palm Beach Atlantic University, where her studies introduced her to animal behavior through observing red-eared slider turtles. An enriching class trip to the Galapagos influenced further studies in animal communication. She found joy in sharing her connection with animals with others and through her writings. An interest in medicine and helping others led to her work as a phlebotomist at Saint Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. Her creative spirit also found expression through crafting, sewing, knitting, and even rollerblading—activities that brought her joy and reflected her vibrant personality.
Faith was the cornerstone of Janice’s life. She surrounded herself with spiritual reminders of her unwavering belief in God the Father and Jesus Christ. Journaling about her conversations with the Lord brought her peace and fulfillment. Her faith guided her actions and interactions with others, leaving a lasting impression on those who knew her.
Janice was a devoted mother and grandmother. She is lovingly remembered by her brother, Sydney Henry (Madeline); children, Philip Restino, Anne Restino, John Restino (Vangie), and Robert Restino (Renee); and grandchildren, Skylar Restino, Madeline Restino, Rose Restino, Philip Restino, and Zachary Goldman. Her family cherishes the memories they shared with her and the legacy of love she leaves behind.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sydney and Mary Henry.
A Funeral Mass will honor Janice’s life on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 13591 Prosperity Farms Road, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida 33410. Internment at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Tarrytown, NY, will be held at a later date.
