John W. Kogel

John W. Kogel

June 08, 1939 ~ January 09, 2023

John(Jack) Wesley Kogel, age 83, passed peacefully into heaven on January 9, 2023. He was surrounded by his children and wife of 42 years, Mary A. Kogel. Jack was born in Chicago and grew up in South Florida. He is survived by his loving wife, 3 children, Michelle(Mark) Myers, Suzanne Evans, John Wesley Kogel, II and 7 grandchildren: Jake Evans, Jayson Evans, Olivia Myers, Jaren Evans, Griffin Myers, Ainsley Myers & Adelynn Myers.

Jack was a member of the United States Air Force and the United States Navy and proudly served his country for 6 years. He loved the United States and had a keen interest in politics throughout his life. Jack worked in sales and service with electronic communications, was widely loved and respected by his many customers over decades with Telautograph and Xerox. He loved music, especially from the 1950s-1970s, spending time with his family, watching sports & walking for exercise. He was usually the first one on and the last one off a dance floor; he loved celebrating at weddings, nights out or running games at kid’s birthday parties. Jack was always up for fun, laughed easily and brought much joy to all those around him.

Jack volunteered his time with numerous Christian organizations and churches throughout his life, taught children’s Sunday School and loved the Lord Jesus Christ. He enjoyed Biblical history & study and had a humble posture of “always learning” in his life.

A celebration of life will be held at Covenant Centre International on Saturday, February 11 at 1pm. Covenant Centre is located at 9153 Roan Lane, Palm Beach Gardens, 33403.
