Kenneth “Kipper” Robert Schmidt, Jr.

Kenneth “Kipper” Robert Schmidt, Jr.

April 27, 1963 ~ January 16, 2023

We are incredibly sad to announce the passing of Kenneth “Kipper” Robert Schmidt Jr., age 59 of Jupiter, Florida on January 16, 2023, after a fierce battle with colorectal cancer. Ken passed away at his home surrounded by his immediate family who loved him so very much.

Ken was raised in Jupiter, Florida, a town that he loved growing up in. He was an avid boater and loved everything to do with the ocean: fishing, snorkeling and SCUBA diving. Ken was an amazing cook and spent the majority of his career as an executive chef. He was as at home on the ocean as he was in the kitchen.

Ken was predeceased by his father Kenneth Sr., his sister Kathy and his son, Kenny. Ken is survived and missed by his loving wife Dawn, his mother Judith, his many children Autumn, Jesse, Leah, Amanda and Nicholas as well as his grandchildren Joshua, Allison, Kylie, Hayden and Victoria.

His family fully expects that the three Kens are all together enjoying a vodka and cranberry and talking about all the ladies.

As Ken would have hated having any funeral services the family will be having a celebration of life.

I’ll always fondly remember Kipper as a great kid when I visited Jupiter during Spring vacations from Mount Hermon. We hung together, he was my buddy who I taught how to dive, at the river house and the house on the ocean. Although I lost touch with him as we both grew up, I followed Kipper with news from his Mother, Judy, who was and still is my favorite cousin. God Bless You Kipper. You are missed.
