Lorraine Fennelly

June 07, 1930 ~ October 19, 2020

Lorraine Fennelly, age 90, passed away at her home in Boynton Beach, FL on October 19, 2020. She was born to the late Alfred and Violet Delaporte on June 7, 1930 in Jersey City, NJ. After graduating from Dickinson High School, Lorraine began working in an office at Rockefeller Center in New York City. There she met James Fennelly, of Harrison, NY and they married in 1952. They settled in Harrison, where they raised their 4 children and Lorraine spent many years as a school volunteer and an assistant Girl Scout leader. She was devoted to her family and was frequently the gracious hostess of large, extended family gatherings. In 1990, Lorraine and her husband relocated to Boynton Beach, FL to enjoy their retirement years.

Lorraine is survived by her 4 children: Judith (Ponce) and James Jr, both of Boynton Beach, Linda of Dallas, TX and Kathleen of Stamford CT. She is also survived by her cherished granddaughter, Shea of Stamford, her sister-in-law, Catherine Sherwood of Salisbury, CT and many well-loved nieces and nephews. Lorraine was preceded in death by her loving husband, James in 2015. Also preceding her were her brother, Alfred Delaporte and his wife, Joan and her son-in-law, B.J.Ponce.

A funeral service will be held Palm Bach National Cemetery on Friday October 30, 2020 at 1:30PM. The address is 6501 FL-7, Lake Worth FL 33449.
