Margaret Mathilda “Marge” Ketter
May 03, 1923 ~ April 23, 2025

Margaret Mathilda “Marge” Ketter was born on May 3, 1923 in Evanston, Illinois and passed away peacefully in her Jupiter, Florida home, surrounded by loved ones, on April 23, 2025.
Throughout her 102 years, Marge was a passionate defender of the environment and a tireless advocate for wildlife. Marge was a leader in the US-China People’s Friendship Association and became a cherished auntie to many of the people whose lives she touched.
She was also a force to be reckoned with in local politics. Marge was never afraid to make her opinions known, especially when she fought to preserve Florida’s precious natural resources or to protect animals from suffering. Marge was an example to women, having forged successful corporate careers in the airline, banking, and real estate industries, and graduated from Barry University in her sixties.
Marge will be remembered for her unflappable determination, her sharp sense of humor, and her steel-trap memory. She never forgot a detail, and her mind was clear and curious until the very end.
She is survived by her niece Candace, her great-niece Bethany, great-grand-nephew and great-grand-niece Cameron and Caroline, and her beloved cockatiel Cinnamon. She will be dearly missed by them, and her dear friends.
A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, she would be pleased that you remember her with a donation to either of her favorite non-profits: LoxaLucieHeadwaters.org or, FurryFriendsAdoption.org in Marge’s name.
