Marie Volpe

Marie Volpe

September 06, 1944 ~ April 14, 2025

Marie Volpe, born in Brooklyn, New York, left us peacefully on April 14, 2025. She most recently lived in Boynton Beach, Florida where she embraced the joy of family and home.

Marie’s life was defined by her unwavering devotion to her family. She was a cherished mother to her beloved and caring daughter Vanessa, her only son Joseph who she held on for his visit to see him one last time, her other daughters Angela and Domenica. She was also a loving mother-in-law to Carrie and Lenny. Her spirit was enriched by her grandchildren-Lucas(her Godson), Demitrius(her Godson), Olivia, Megan, Gregory, and Robert-and the joy of five great-grandchildren.

Her kindness and love were her true superpowers. Always placing others’ needs above her own, Marie had the remarkable gift of making everyone she met feel uniquely valued and special. She gave love freely to anyone who needed some.

A woman of many talents, Marie balanced numerous roles throughout her life including homemaker, mom, bookkeeper, beautician, entrepreneur, and manager and so many other things in life. Above all, her proudest accomplishment was her family, and she found her greatest happiness in their success, health, and happiness.

Marie enjoyed a variety of hobbies that brought richness to her days: watching movies, reading, playing on the computer, listening to her favorite songs, cooking amazing meals for her family, and most importantly, spending time with her family. She loved watching her son play baseball and her daughter Vanessa perform baton twirling and marching, those were her greatest moments finding joy in their passions and talent.

Her palate was as warm as her heart, favoring dishes like Chicken Francese, Chicken Marsala, lobster, salmon, pasta, mussels, calamari. Her chicken stew and homemade pasta sauce was a family favorite. She always enjoyed a freshly brewed coffee in her favorite mug every morning to get her day started.

Music was an essential part of her life with favorites including Willie Nelson, Julio Iglesias, Norman Greenbaum,Joe Cocker, Bob Marley, Louis Armstrong, Bee Gees, Johnny Cash, Randy Travis, Elvis, Kenny Rogers, The Temptations, The Beatles, Yanni, and Pavarotti and so many more.

She kept up with the world through her favorite TV shows, especially the nightly News, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, Days of our Lives, Lets Make a Deal, History Channel, the Bible Series, the Voice and Breaking Bad. She loved the movies A Beautiful Mind, The Great Gatsby, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Madam X and Imitation of Life, the Sting, Runaway Bride, Schindler’s list and many more.

Though she traveled to many beautiful destinations-the Caribbean, Italy, and across the USA, including road trips to Missouri-Marie’s favorite place was always home, surrounded by those she loved.

Marie is survived by my father Joseph Colpani(She was the love of his life) who was holding her hand while I held her other one when she crossed over. Her sisters Josephine, Gracie, and brother Ralph, many nephews and nieces. She is remembered alongside those who predeceased her: her husband Lucas Baerman, her sister Mimi and brother Angelo. She was the beloved daughter of Joseph and Josephine Restivo.

Marie Volpe’s legacy is one of unwavering love, kindness, and a lifetime of putting family first. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all whose lives she touched.

May her memory be a blessing, and her love continue to inspire all those lucky enough to have shared in her life and until we meet again, we will carry you forever in our hearts.

Psalm 23

The Lord is my Sheppard I shall not want

He Lays me down in Green Pastures

He Leads me beside still waters

He replenishes my soul

He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name sake

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil, for you are with me, your rod and your staff comfort me.

You prepare a table before my enemies, you anoint my head with oil, my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me for the rest of my life and I shall dwell in the house of the lord Forever. Amen.

No matter how old were are, it’s never easy to lose a parent. Your mom was like a second mom to me. I have always remembered the good times and lessons she taught me. Marie was such an incredible person, no one can ever replace her.
