Nancy Isabelle Falcigno

Nancy Isabelle Falcigno

January 12, 1942 ~ February 25, 2025

Nancy Isabelle Falcigno of Mangonia Park, FL died on Tuesday, 2/25 due to complications from Multiple Sclerosis (MS). She was 83 years old.

Nancy was a strong, independent and vivacious woman. Her natural instinct of protecting and nurturing started at a young age. She was always there to help a friend or family member in need. Her humor and strength helped carry her through life.
After a childhood in New York state, including graduating from Schalmont High School in 1959 in Rotterdam, NY,  Nancy lived in New York, Texas, and Massachusetts before settling in the DC area. She lived most of her adult life there, enjoying being with her siblings, children, stepchildren, and grandchildren. She also enjoyed summers along the Hudson River in her Adirondack cottage in upstate New York.
She worked at the MS Society headquarters and retired from the U.S. Postal Service after she could no longer work. She fought ‘the Beast” (as she called MS) for several decades, eventually requiring full-time long term nursing care.
She is survived by her three children, Diana Nead (Edward), David Falcigno, and Greg Falcigno (Barbara), four grandchildren Trisha Falcigno-Everly (Aaron), Sarah Falcigno, Adam Falcigno and Arson Falcigno, her two brothers Henry Brown (Nancy) and Douglas Brown (Jean) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and former stepchildren and their families.
She is preceded in death by her sister Dorothy Tarleton and two sons Darrell and Allen Falcigno.
A celebration of life will be held at her son Greg’s house in Olney, MD on Sunday, April 13th from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the National MS Society.
