Pauline “Polly” Deedrick

Pauline “Polly” Deedrick

January 13, 1935 ~ February 03, 2021

Mrs. Pauline Therese Descoteaux Savoie Deedrick, age 86 of Boynton Beach Florida, peacefully passed away Wednesday afternoon February 3, 2021.

She was born January 13, 1935, in New Hampshire, a daughter of late Gerard H. and Albanie (Doyon) Descoteaux.

Pauline, “Polly” as most knew her was preceded in death by her husband Harold Deedrick: Two daughters, Susan Savoie Rudolph and Diane Savoie Gernavage and son, Donald Savoie; one brother, Gerald A. Descoteaux.

Polly is survived by her daughter and son, Carol Ann Levitz, son- in- law Dennis Levitz and Gerald Savoie and daughter- in- law Luz Savoie, twenty- four grandchildren and thirty-eight great grandchildren, and two great- great grandchildren.

Polly loved spending time with her family the most and relished the times she could have all of her children/ grandchildren together at the same time! Polly was a faithful Catholic, always making time to go to Mass a priority in her life. Polly enjoyed going to the beach, crocheting and gardening and any other activity that would get her outside in the sunshine & fresh air!

Polly worked at Spyke’s Grove, an orange grove in Davie Florida when her children were younger, then finished her career working for Publix bakery in South Florida before transferring to Publix Bakery in Gainesville, Florida where she retired. She is fondly remembered for bringing home delicious pastries for all to enjoy.

Her life included numerous joys and sorrows and consistently maintaining a positive, hopeful, grateful and joyous attitude were characteristics Polly had and was known for. She touched many lives throughout her journey and will be remembered for her vitality, fun spirit, love of laughter, being a caretaker & love for her family. Her time here will be widely remembered and dearly missed.

Polly spread joy everywhere she went and loved to dance any chance she got,-usually while listening to Jazz music.
We leave you with the thought of Polly dancing through life with a smile on her face, an infectious laugh and spreading Love to anyone who would receive it. May we all carry on similarly for her, in her memory.

Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday, February 20, 2021, at St. Peter’s Church in Jupiter Florida. With burial following at 12:30pm at Our Lady Queen of Heaven in North Lauderdale, Florida.

She was a beautiful woman and will surely be missed by those that knew her. We have many memories of her and the boys when she lived at my sister’s home (her daughter in law) in Jupiter. I know she appreciated everything she had done for her since her son Donnie passed. May she Rest In Peace now. Hugs and prayers to all of the family.
