Quinton Mitchell Gornto, III
February 18, 1953 ~ March 10, 2025

Quinton Mitchell Gornto, III passed away peacefully on Monday, March 10th 2025, surrounded by his family. He has gone home to be with his wife, Rhonda and our Lord Jesus Christ in heaven. QM (Mitch) was born on February the 18th 1953 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He is survived by his stepchildren, Stacey and Shawn Walker, His grandchildren, Sam, Savannah, Lily, Annabelle, Juno and Carrie and his siblings, brothers John, Mike and David Gornto and sister Susan Gornto. QM was the glue that held our family together. Our anchor. He was generous, forgiving, compassionate and kind. He took care of and protected us in so many ways. He loved race cars, western movies, comedies and animals. He was famous for his boiled peanuts and trail mix (It would be a whole day process). Always available to give a hand, opinion or ride on a moment’s notice. He was an outstanding grandpa. Would do anything for his grandkids. He assisted his dad the “tennis pro” at the Bath & Tennis Club when he was younger. We loved hearing stories about Merriweather Post and Lilly Pulitzer to name a few. He built tennis courts, roads and preservation areas. He started and ran a successful landscaping company for over 30 years. He liked to play cards on his phone. He was an avid fisherman and loved to be on the water. His fondest memories were always about his wife Rhonda and their many road trip adventures across the country. To the many friends and family that have loved you and cared for you we say thank you. Each and everyone of you meant something to him. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, March 22nd , 2025 at 12:00 pm. It will be at Horizon Baptist Church, 12965 Orange Blvd. West Palm Beach, FL 33412. There will be light refreshments following the service at the church. We invite anyone who wishes to attend to join us in celebrating his life. Rest in Peace QM (Mitch)(Grandpa)! You will forever be missed.
Until we meet again! 10-4!

QM and I were friends in the mid to late 70’s and beyond. I moved to Georgia and we just eventually lost touch. He was always there to have fun and make his friends laugh. I remember him very fondly. May he rest in peace. I loved reading this obituary. So glad he had such a loving family who appreciated him. Prayers for peace to all. Sincerely, Valerie Fried
