Post retirement he enjoyed substitute teaching throughout the Fairfield and Westport, CT school systems. Missing you at Christmas Dad.

I have many memories of Bob but I will most remember our last family (small) dinner together; it was after all one of his favorite pastimes. We picked him up from the Atria and brought him to our home for dinner – surf and turf, and a little wine. He enjoyed the food and wine but most of all he enjoyed telling us stories, many of them we had not heard before. I know that he appreciated that evening!

For those who do not know, Bob was a 4th degree knight with the Knights of Columbus – good show Bob!

Rest in Peace – Michael

Hi Grandpa,

Grateful to have spent so much time together since moving back to Florida. I won’t soon forget you trying to tell jokes in your last days. Love you grandpa, or grampa as I would say it. May the Irish Prayer be with you.

Sorry I missed seeing you one last time, Bob. I think of you whenever I have lobster chowder. I know how much you liked it.

Bob, Cheryl, Bill, and Lisa my thoughts are with all of you this Christmas season. It’s always hard to lose a parent but it seems even more pronounced during the holidays. Love to all of you and yours.

Leave a Condolence
