Robert Teel

Robert “Rob”Teel, a talented chef and loving family man, passed away on January 24, 2025. Growing up in Birmingham, Alabama, Rob grew up with a passion for cooking that took him to some of the finest kitchens in the country. He worked tirelessly to hone his craft, rising from line cook to executive chef in just 10 years. His culinary creations brought joy to countless people, and he was beloved by his colleagues and friends. Rob’s greatest love was his family. He cherished his role as husband and father, and the early years of his marriage were filled with happiness, love, and adventure. He and his wife enjoyed nearly a decade living in Birmingham, where Rob’s Southern roots shone bright. While Rob’s later years were marked by challenges and struggles, his legacy is not defined by those difficulties. Instead, it is his kindness, generosity, and infectious enthusiasm that will be remembered by all who knew him. Rob is survived by his loving wife, Terri and son, Robby as well as a community of friends and colleagues who will deeply miss him. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to organizations supporting addiction recovery and culinary education. Rest in peace, Rob. Your love, laughter, and legendary cooking will never be forgotten.
