Many years ago, I got to have an amazing Aunt join my family. She brought with her a vibrant smile and an energy and brightness to all of those in her presence. Her sense of humor has delighted all of us throughout the years – and we’ve always looked forward to her visits and the time we’d get to spend with her. She compliments and lifts others up to feel so important and loved.

As I’ve tried to come up with the words to express what Sharon has meant to me, I easily came up with strings of words and memories.. but one word suddenly struck my aching heart because it sums her up perfectly in my mind. Sharon is my hero. I have seen her walk through terrible trials with grace and positivity. I have watched in awe, how she continues to put others first, when she has every right to be the primary concern. I have seen her powerfully face every beast with determination and never back down. I have humbly watched her accept new hardships with new diagnosis without a complaint.

Throughout the years and with recent health trials I have faced – I’ve immediately drawn on her example to help me through. She’s given me hope and strength through her example, and advice that I have taken seriously and has already set me on my course forward. I have loved our conversations through text and messenger and I have Cherished her influence and support in my life.

Sharon, thank you for the love and great example you have been to me. You have made an everlasting impact on me and my life will forever be better for it. I am proud of you and blessed to call you family.

My heart will continue to ache over your departure from this life, but I will always draw strength, happiness and belief in myself from the influential example and memories I have of you. Until we meet again. I love you.
