Steven “Buckwheat” Bulkley

Steven “Buckwheat” Bulkley passed away on November 28, 2019 at the young age of 58 after his valiant battle with an aggressive form of lung cancer. Buckwheat was born in Hempstead, NY on April 1, 1961 and was the son of Joann Makepeace and Alva Bulkley, though his father throughout life was Bob Chambers. He is survived by many, including those who are closest to him: his wife Melanie Bulkley, son Steven Lee Bulkley, daughter Jennifer Bulkley as well as his two grandsons, Logan and Landon Ishwar. Buckwheat always enjoyed cooking, shooting and spending time with family and friends. He was a very loving and selfless person who knew no strangers. He was viewed as a father figure and brother to several, in addition to his blood relatives, and will be sorely missed by all.
The family will be hosting a Memorial /Celebration of Life Service for Buckwheat at the following:
