Susan Ann ”Sue” Zimmerman Mainville of Palm Beach Gardens, loving wife, daughter, sister and mother, died peacefully on Thursday, June 16th joining her dear sister Janis Smith (Gerry) and her sweet Silkie Terriers Midge, Michela and Sandy. She will be dearly missed by her devoted husband Paul Pierre Mainville, her daughters Janet Jones, Katherine Blizzard (Travis) and step-son David Mainville (Lisa). Sue was born January 9, 1951 in Baltimore Maryland to the late Edward Walter Zimmerman and the late Estelle Lillian Russell. She is survived by her other sisters Ellen McLaughlin (Steve), Debra Fowler (Jack), half-sister and godchild Terri Dukes (Chris), her grand-son Jonathan Gallant, grand-daughters Elizabeth Petry (Austin) and Allison Naevker (Jesse), her dear cousins Carol Rosier-Hirsch and Nancy Hill plus her very good friends Brenda, Chrissy, Kathy and Marie.
She graduated from Northern High School and The Institute of Nail Sculpturing, both in Baltimore Maryland. Sue had diverse interests from spontaneous day trips to line-dancing to scrapbooking. She was a certified and accomplished small aircraft pilot as well as always having a sports car in the garage. She co-owned a car dealership in Baltimore and drove her own tow truck. Moving to Jupiter Florida in the mid 80’s she worked as a billing specialist at Hospice of South Florida for 18 years then with Palm Beach Cancer Institute. Sue retired in 2013 to enjoy their motorhome and visiting Disney, where Paul had proposed to her in the castle garden.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with immediate family and close friends. Sue will be interred in Moreland Memorial Park Cemetery, near her father’s grave, in Baltimore. In lieu of flowers, Sue’s family requests donations made in her name to The Angel Fund for ALS Research.
