William James Cullity
November 29, 1958 ~ August 03, 2026
William James Cullity, aged 67, of North Palm Beach, Florida, passed away on August 3, 2026. Born on November 29, 1958, William, affectionately known as Billy to family and friends, was known for his vibrant personality and dedicated spirit. Above all, he was a devoted and loving husband, father, papa boy, son, brother, uncle, and friend who left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him.
Billy dedicated 38 years of his career to Northwestern Mutual as a Financial Advisor. He excelled in his profession while mentoring countless advisors, helping many build successful careers and leaving a lasting impact on both the people he guided and the profession he loved.
His love of ice hockey ran deep. In 2003, he started The Cullity Skate, a pickup hockey skate that met every Thursday night and every Sunday morning. Over the years it grew into a network of more than 200 players which continues to thrive. His coaching extended to various ice and roller hockey travel leagues, making a significant impact on the community and the sport he loved so dearly.
Aside from his work and the rink, Billy’s true joy came from spending time with his family and helping others. He also loved being out on the water, boating and fishing, and sharing those moments with the people closest to him.
Billy is survived by his wife, Donna; his children Tausha Hammer (Anthony), George Loebig (Jessica), Jennifer Cullity (Matthew), and William Robert Jordan Cullity (Bri); his grandchildren Torin Buonocore, Madden Shambaugh, Alex Toomer, Addison Hammer, AJ Hammer, and Athena Loebig; and his siblings Diana Cullity, Geraldine Burns (Joe), Joseph Cullity (Jeannie), Patrick Cullity (Maryellen), and James Cullity. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews in Florida and Massachusetts.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Francis Cullity and Lila Geraldine Cullity.
A celebration of Billy’s life will be held at Skate Zone in Lake Worth, Florida, on September 6, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and at West on Centre in West Roxbury, Massachusetts, on September 26, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Billy’s legacy by supporting local youth hockey programs, the Alzheimer’s Association, or the Hospice Foundation of America.
